ABC Free Flower Arranging Classes from 11 Jan, 2010
Flower and Garden ShowThe Anguilla Beautification Club is doing it again. Just in time for the 11th anniversary of the Flower and Garden Show, the ABC is offering free flower arranging classes.Beginning on 11th January 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00pm classes will be held every Monday for one month at the hall of the Soroptimist Day Care Centre. Bring your own flowers and foliage, local or bought and learn to make beautiful artistic bouquets and arrangements just like you always dreamt of doing. (More)

Frost damages 30% of Colombia’s flower production
Flower industryOngoing freezing temperatures have damaged 30% of the Colombia’s flower production, announced the Association of Colombian Flower Growers on Wednesday.The loss was predominately caused by the freezing temperatures plaguing the Sabana de Bogota region, which accounts for 70% of Colombian flower exports. Over 900ha devoted to Tet flowers in HCM City
Growing flowers and Ornamental plantsThe total area in Ho Chi Minh City allotted for growing flowers and ornamental plants for the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) holidays has now reached 903 hectares.The city’s Agricultural Promotion Center said January 5 that of this area, 402 hectares are being used to grow yellow apricot blossom plants, 17 percent more than last year.
